Went out for a nice easy 5.5 this morning. The legs are still really sore and heavy from the weekends races. I hope the stiffness and soreness works itself out soon.

 

Went out for another 2.6 this afternoon. Felt a little better than this morning.

Easy 6 today. The legs felt a lot better today. Especially my quads. Although my left calf really tightened up during the first couple miles. I had to stop and stretch it a couple of times. Finally about 3 miles in it felt like it loosened up more. It's still really tight though. Hopefully I can get my speed workout in tomorrow.

Nothing today. Started running then about a half block into it I realized my calf was still to tight. Rest today. Speed tomorrow.

I finally got my speed workout in today. Did a 2 mile warm up then went right into 3x1600m with an 800m recovery jog in between each interval. My left calf is still really tight so I wasn't able to open up like I wanted to, and my recovery felt a little to long, but it was good with the way my calf felt. My splits were as follows. Mile 1 5:38. Mile 2 5:37. Mile 3 5:31. I was able to open up a little more on that last mile when my calf loosened up a bit. All in all things felt good today.

Easy 8 today. Cross hollows loop. Calf is feeling better. Still a little tight though.
